High solid content styrene butadiene latex is synthesized by two steps from foaming high solid latex PYLX-6618:

Latex with large particle size and wide particle size distribution was prepared first, and then concentrated to high solid content. This method has become the choice of the industry because of its high production efficiency. In the two-step method, the large particle size of latex is usually achieved by adding chemical coagulants.

The usual choice is to add acids or electrolytes to the latex, reducing the stability of the latex particles, which quickly aggregate to form large particles. The general chemical agglomeration method also has the problem of limited particle size, which is difficult to meet the high solid content requirements.
